Most every station I've worked at uses those 360 Systems devices for live phone bits. Recording requests for quick playback, contest winners, etc. They are easy to quick edit and replay in seconds.
Oh man this thing is frigging awesome and would be fun to play around with. I have a shitload of sound bites I could load on it.

Have you ever replaced the Keypad on the IR? Mine works fine but the buttons are hit and miss.
Its a very high end unit.. We used to use this for sweetening (adding laughter) to comedy spots up until a couple years ago for broadcast television..

I'm quite tempted to "ride your a**", to prep, and sit for the General Radiotelephone Operator's License Exam; then, you can work on S.B.E. certifications. You've set the direction, commercial AM transmission equipment is selling at 'bargain basement pricing'. I basically trained in four career paths, a mistake; and while I've had some significant successes, I made the mistake of going for the 'money, and the glory', in retrospect, my heart was, and always has been in television broadcast engineering.
